Wonderful World of Wordsmiths

Girl in shopping cart laughingA single word can conjure up a thousand thoughts and paint a thousand pictures. One word, well chosen, can fill you with eager anticipation. It often describes the essence of an author’s novels…mystery, horror, fantasy, thriller, romance, inspirational, among others. When you think of a favorite author, what word is often associated with their writings? Stephen King-Terrifying? J.K. Rowling-Fantastical? Nicholas Sparks- Heart-felt?

The one word I’ve chosen to describe my romance novels is rollicking. I want my reader to know what to expect inside the cover – an ample dose of joy, a light-hearted and often big-hearted adventure, exuberantly lively and amusing story-telling.

“Rollicking” always guides my creative process, and I hope it becomes a word you can trust when you choose to read my novels.

the almost right word and the right word

is the difference  between the

lightning bug and the lightning.”
