Someone Left the Gate Open

Within the strong walls we have erected around our lives, what do we discover by closely examining our surroundings? Comfort, familiarity and safety abound. Predictability and protection are our favorite companions. Change is a foreign word in our vocabulary. Content with the way things are, harboring no expectation for anything different, we flounder in complacency. We stare through the cracks in the wall and wonder if we were meant for more.

What if God has other plans for your life? What if He lifts the latch inviting you to a view of what He planned for you long ago? With your curiosity piqued, you notice the gate is now wide open. Do you step through the portal and feel the gentle breeze of freedom caress your face, or do you fearfully close and lock the gate? The choice is yours…you get to choose how much God uses you in His plan.

He never meant for us to live in safety and seclusion. God wants us to run through the open gate into His waiting arms. An amazing adventure awaits those who enter with a trusting heart and a little bit of daring!
