About Cyndee McBarron

Don’t look here for a long list of accolades or accomplishments meant to impress. I won the spelling bee once and was voted Miss Peabody in elementary school. Does that count? Probably not, but I have been blessed with a beautiful life that rewards me every single day.

My imaginary Hall of Fame is not lined with trophy cases but with bejeweled treasure boxes which hold valuables far greater than blue ribbons and gold statues. They contain snapshots of life with my husband, children and grandchildren, friends and family – celebrations and sorrows, hellos and good-byes, wild adventures and solitudes, the sound of laughter and beloved voices silenced long ago.

Decorative Treasure Boxes

One of those treasure chests holds my stories, conceived and born from a joy and passion for writing, and an abundance of life experiences. I love to pen historical romances and my deep Texas roots often take me on adventures in the mid-1800’s American wild west. I hope you’ll step back in time and get to know me and allow me to know you.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll wind up in one of my treasure boxes, too!
